LPEA adds three to operations team

La Plata Electric Association recently appointed three employees to its operations department: journeyman lineman Toby Allred joined the line crews, Brian Marshall was named storekeeper and Decker O’Rand is now a meter reader collector.

Allred, a Bayfield resident, has experience as a construction lineman since 1999 for various contractors around the country; as a longshoreman for the military; in construction at oil fields; as a long-haul cattle driver in the agricultural industry; completed a lineman apprenticeship in Washington and Oregon; and earned his journeyman lineman in 2004.

Marshall, a Bayfield resident, worked for 18 years in construction supply sales for Colorado Fasteners and, in his new position, is responsible for stocking tools and materials for linemen and managing LPEA warehouse operations.

O’Rand is from Durango, most recently worked in construction and joined LPEA field operations as a meter reader collector.
