Acts is an historical record of the Christian church covering the first 40 years of the new church from the Resurrection to the beginning of Roman Emperor Nero’s persecution. It provides a guide for how the church would develop and depicts the triumph of Christianity over persecution.
Tom Cummins, who holds a master’s degree in Christian education and has been teaching the Bible for 17 years, will lead the class.

Bloomfield will appeal ruling on monument
BLOOMFIELD – A federal court that ruled against a Ten Commandments monument in Bloomfield, New Mexico, has agreed to put its decision on hold until an appeals court hears the case.
A Ten Commandments monument is displayed on the lawn in front of Bloomfield’s City Hall.
On Aug. 7, a U.S. District judge in Albuquerque ruled the monument has the “principal effect of endorsing religion” in violation of the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause.
