Afternoon court hearings to be rescheduled
The La Plata County Courthouse at 1060 East Second Ave. will be closed Monday afternoon as the result of a water outage.
The La Plata County Courthouse was closed Monday afternoon because the water had to be turned off unexpectedly for construction.
Afternoon court hearings and probation services will be rescheduled.
Nearby businesses, from 11th Street to Ninth Street on East Second Avenue area also were without water, according to scanner traffic.
A few businesses on Ninth and Eighth streets were also impacted.
The courthouse is undergoing significant renovation to make way for federal court facilities.
