Durango Public Library announced these events for June:

Ongoing Programs

Summer Reading at Durango Public Library, June 8 to July 31: Read and win all summer. Programs and events available for babies, kids, teens and adults. Registration starts June 8. Call or stop by the library.

Tuesdays,  June 8 to July 31: Weekly activity kits for all ages. Kits include necessary supplies for one person to complete a project and are available for preschool, elementary, teen and adult age levels. A new kit is released every Tuesday, and are available while supplies last.

Events by Date

June 16, 2 p.m.: Virtual Book Club. Discuss shows and books with others. To register, email spenser.snarr@durangogov.org.

June 17, 10:30 a.m.: Outdoor Family Storytime. Stories, songs, rhymes and activities perfect for children ages 0 to 5 and their parents and caregivers. Held on the library’s northeast lawn.

June 22, 11 a.m.: Summer Reading Show with Steeve Weeks. An interactive show with music, humor and games. Free and open to the public. Held on the library's northeast lawn.

June 25, 10 a.m.: LEGO Club. Drop-in event. Create and engineer with the library’s Lego collection. Follow the daily challenge or create something unique. Held on the library’s back patio.

All unvaccinated people are requested to wear a mask during outdoor events.
