12:41 a.m. Three or four people were acting suspiciously, whispering while walking around an apartment complex in the 2300 block of north Glenisle Avenue.

2:42 a.m. A silent burglar alarm was triggered in an office in the 800 block of Main Avenue.

Wednesday

9:29 a.m. A recycling bin was stolen in the 200 block of Park Avenue.

11:43 a.m. A suspicious-looking man in a red shirt and white shorts was soliciting in the 3000 block of East Seventh Avenue.

3:57 p.m. A customer was holding a shoplifter outside a business in the 2000 block of Main Avenue. The suspect was arrested.

4:58 p.m. A person was arrested after the Colorado Bureau of Investigation reported an attempted purchase of a firearm in the 200 block of East Eighth Avenue.

8:36 p.m. Someone reported a 6- to 8-year-old girl talking to a fair worker near the ticket stand.

Durango Fire & Rescue

Durango Fire & Rescue Authority responded to 18 calls Wednesday, including a brush fire, a smell of gas, a fall and two sick people.
