Save a Dragon campaign launched by Merely Players

Merely Players has launched a Save a Dragon campaign to assist them in their continued ability to keep quality theatre in Durango. The financial assistance will help with set, costumes, props, makeup, publicity, lights and sound, venue rental, salaries, mailings, insurance and other production expenses for their upcoming youth/adult production of the musical “Shrek.”

The troupe is selling 140 simulated dragons that will become a part of an art display to be featured on performance nights throughout their run of “Shrek.” Each dragon sells for a different price: there is one available for each dollar increment from $10 to $140. Donors receive their name, name of a loved one, company name, or just a special word or two written on one of the 140 dragons in the wall art, as well as a ticket to “Shrek.”

To buy a dragon, visit www.merelyplayers.us and click on the “Save a Dragon” link. Merely Players is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax-deductible.
