Lecture to explore Croatia’s economy
The Life-Long Learning lecture series will continue Thursday with “Economic Transition to a New Future: From Command to Market-Based Economics Through a Croatian Lens,” presented by Fort Lewis College economics professor Robert Sonora. The free lecture will take place at 7 p.m. in 130 Noble Hall, 1000 Rim Drive.
Sonora is a two-time Fullbright Scholar who has been a visiting scholar at Croatia’s University of Zagreb every spring since 2008. He will share a short history of the country and his impressions on its people, culture and new place in the European Union.

Snowdown announces Follies auditions
Auditions for the 2015 Snowdown Follies, the hugely popular shows performed during Snowdown each year, will take place the first week of December.
Follies cast auditions will take place at 6 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Henry Strater Theatre, 699 Main Ave. Approximately 15 skits and two MC teams will be chosen for the show.
Follies chorus-line auditions will take place at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at Bella Dance Studio, 2416 Main Ave. The closing dance will be taught Dec. 9 .
