The Old Fort at Hesperus will hold an open house from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday at 19251 Colorado Highway 140.
Attendees will learn about the various programs offered; take a tour of the education garden, incubator field, the observatory and newly renovated picnic grounds; meet local farmers; and explore historic buildings and beautiful landscape.
Concessions will include burgers and salads, and a silent auction to benefit the Farmer-in-Training program.
The event is free and open to all.
