As part of Be Bear Smart Month at the Pine River Library, Bear Smart Durango will host a bird-feeder exchange from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive, Bayfield.
Residents who drop off used bird feeders will receive kits to make their own wildflower baskets. A random door prize will also be given out.
There is a limit of two hanging flower basket kits per attendee. Newly-purchased bird feeders will not be accepted. This effort to feed birds and not bears is sponsored by Lewis True Value Mercantile.
