The day I realized that women were, in fact, the stronger, more capable sex, I was having trouble getting seated during the boarding of a plane. Nearby, a young mom was handling three kids, one a baby, tickets, seating and all their bags/bottles/stuff, and all went well.
In the 2016 election, and it is now clear, college-educated white women were the real edge that defeated Hilary Clinton. Did that mean that women know better, are born Republican or hate for one of theirs to get out of lane?
No, it was a repeat of almost every presidential election since voting data has been examined. America was designed and built in all its facets by conservative white males. Most women hope to continue to benefit by accepting subservience in all matters.
Why would women perpetuate the subjugation of themselves, let alone their children? Did you know unions were initiated by women, universal suffrage by women, civil rights really began with a quiet seamstress, Rosa Parks, defying the KKK and police, saying “No, I won’t sit in the back of the bus”?
President Trump wasn’t elected primarily due to rapid change, loss of factories, bad trade deals or hordes of rapist/narco Mexicans invading the U.S.; it was our collective fear of loss of America’s social economic baseline of white status.
That fear, uncertainty or debasement is in back of so many horrors we have inflicted on ourselves. It also explains the loyalty of Trump’s base.
