Friends of the Arts thankful for roundup

A sincere thank you to Kroegers Ace Hardware for choosing Durango Friends of the Arts as the recipient for its August roundup.

We are so grateful to them and to those who contribute with every purchase at Kroegers. The change given with each purchase really adds up over a month and is an amazing gift to us or any nonprofit chosen for this monthly roundup.

Mountain Studies has concert success

Mountain Studies Institute would like to thank everyone who attended the Aug. 8 community concert in the Secret Garden at the Rochester Hotel. We had a great time dancing about enjoying the music of the StillHouse Junkies!

MSI would like to extend an extra-special thank you to the Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado for choosing Mountain Studies, with nine other local nonprofits, to participate in this concert series and a professional development program, called Jumpstart.

We also are incredibly thankful to the Rochester Hotel for a lovely venue and the deliciously spicy “416” specialty cocktail. And thank you to Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Four Corners Community Bank for sponsoring the concert series as well.

With appreciation,

The MSI Team

iAM Music thankful for community

The iAM Music Institute would like to send out a big thank you to all who attended the July 25 community concert at the Rochester Secret Garden! It was a beautiful evening with music from local soul-funk band, J-CALVIN. We are so lucky to have such incredible talent in our area.

iAM Music would also like to thank the Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado for choosing iAM as one of 10 local nonprofits to benefit from the concert series this year, and for helping us promote local music. We are honored to be a part of this series.

Lastly, iAM would like to extend a thank you to the Rochester Hotel, Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Four Corners Community Bank for their support.

All the Best,

iAM MUSIC staff and board of directors

Education Center has positive turnout

Durango Adult Education Center would like to sincerely thank all those who attended the community concerts in the Secret Garden on Aug. 15 when we were the featured nonprofit.

It was a wonderful evening, and the awesome sounds of Orquesta de Salsa really got the crowd dancing.

We would especially like to thank the Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado for hosting this series and the generous event sponsors: Rochester Hotel, Four Corners Community Bank and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

We look forward to attending the last two concerts for Lawn Chair Kings and Six Dollar String Band.
