4:51 p.m. A man spit on a gas station employee in the 20400 block of U.S. Highway 160 west.
5:54 p.m. A mailbox was broken into and items were stolen in the 700 block of East Third Avenue.

Firefighters and medics responded to 16 calls Tuesday to Wednesday morning, including eight emergency medical service calls, a flammable liquid spill, an authorized burn and a car crash.
