Reasons are unknown
A single-engine airplane aborted takeoff for unknown reasons Tuesday at the Durango-La Plata County Airport.
The plane, a Piper PA 28, struck runway lights after coming down, said Kip Turner, the airport’s director of aviation.
Two passengers were on board; no one was injured.
The incident did not cause any delays or disrupt airport operations, Turner said.
