Southwest Apple Fest will be held from 11 a.m. to dusk Thursday and Friday at Orchard Park in downtown Farmington, with the fall Downtown Art Walk also taking place from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday.
To kick off the festival, the Downtown Makers Market will begin at 11 a.m. and will feature local crafters, artists, artisans, jewelers and more. The market will take place again Friday during the same hours.
The festival will feature live music from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in Orchard Park. There will also be hands-on snacks, food trucks, free homegrown apples, a peeler/spiralizer activity to make a healthy snack and Johnny Appleseed storytelling.
On Friday, enjoy a selfie family tree, apple stamp art, The Apple Star Adventure Story, apple items offered by downtown restaurants, Gold Apple Art in the Alley and collecting Apple Event cards.
The fall Downtown Art Walk will take place in tandem with the festival from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday. Local artists will be hosted in various downtown business.
