Dixie Melton, family nurse practitioner and owner of Ignacio Family Medicine, won the statewide Nightingale Luminary Award presented Oct. 16.

She was nominated for the statewide event after being regionally recognized for her leadership role in coordinating and mobilizing Ignacio’s COVID-19 vaccine effort.
