As we all gather safely this holiday season, I am especially grateful for the health care workers and teachers who continue to do everything in their power to keep us healthy and keep our children on track. Their commitment to serving others -- our neighbors and family members -- at a time when we need them most, deserves our gratitude and thanks.
I am privileged to know many “answering the call to serve” in these careers at my own university, Western Governors University. These leaders in education and health care inspire me every day as they balance their own families while remaining devoted to our communities. I am honored to know them and tip my hat to their commitment.
