BHS girls start 0-3
The Bayfield boys basketball team won its final game of the NorCo tournament, beating Valley 56-51on Saturday to finish the tournament strong.
The win was the Wolverines’ first of the young season. BHS started the tournament by falling to Eaton 92-58 on Thursday. Bayfield then lost to Platte Valley 54-37 on Friday.
Bayfield’s girls basketball team, which also competed in the NorCo tournament, was unable to get its first win of the year. BHS lost 71-13 to Eaton, 72-15 against Platte Valley and 61-38 against Valley.
The boys were scheduled to take on Piedra Vista Thursday in Farmington. The BHS girls, meanwhile, will next play Salida at 7 p.m. Friday in Buena Vista’s tournament.
