Women's Resource Center announces award winners

SUCAP director to be honored

The Women's Resource Center has announced the three Extraordinary Women Awards Winners for 2015.The celebration to honor the winners will kick off Women's History Month, and take place during the Extraordinary Women Awards luncheon on March 6 at the Henry Strater Theatre from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The luncheon is presented by Alpine Bank. Tickets will be available through the Women's Resource Center.  Award winners are:

· Eileen Wasserbach, executive director, Southern Ute Community Action Programs

· Gina Piccoli, owner and managing broker, Coldwell Banker Heritage House Realtors

· Karen Midkiff, chief development officer and president, Mercy Health Foundation

Every March, the Women's Resource Center, with its community partners, celebrates Women's History Month. The Women's Resource Center is partnering with the American Association of University Women, Durango Arts Center, Colorado Women's Hall of Fame, and other venues and organizations to produce a series of free or low-cost events that are inspiring, educational, and raise awareness about issues affecting women and girls in society today.
