Seniors Outdoors announces activities
Seniors Outdoors will offer these activities:
An overnight backpack trip to Blue Lakes and a climb of Mt. Sneffels will take place at 8 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Four-wheel-drive and high-clearance vehicles are required. The cost to carpool is $15. Dogs are not allowed. To RSVP, email Chris Blackshear at chris.blackshear@gmail.com
A hike to the Old Hundred Boarding House will take place at 7 a.m. Saturday. The boarding house is perched on the side of Galena Mountain. It was recently restored as a historic landmark. The hike will be done at a moderate pace. Poles will be helpful. Four-wheel-drive and high-clearance vehicles are required. The cost to carpool is $12. Dogs are not allowed at the boarding house. A Monday bike ride for intermediate road cyclists will take place at 8:30 a.m. Monday. This is a no-drop, social ride of 16 miles (round-trip) from Home Depot to Bread. Participants will meet in the south parking lot at Home Depot. The Wednesday Wanderers will hike Lower Hermosa Creek at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. This is an in-and-out trail. Dogs on leashes are allowed. Nonmembers should RSVP to Bob Schuckhart at 459-1945.
A circumnavigation hike of Grizzly Peak will take place at 6:30 a.m. Thursday. The hike will be done at a moderate pace. The cost to carpool is $13.
