Downtown Colorado team visiting Bayfield

A team from Downtown Colorado, Inc. will meet with downtown landowners, businesses, and other interested community members during a visit on March 16 and 17 for a community assessment.

The group focuses on helping local communities harness and leverage financial investment in their downtowns.

The group will start with a meeting with town staff and elected officials on Monday, March 16, followed by a focus group meeting at 1:30 p.m. at town hall, then a walk around downtown from 3 to 4 p.m.

A meeting with downtown business owners and property owners will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Pine River Senior Center, followed by residents and community members at large from 7 to 8 p.m.

"If someone can't make one of the meetings at the designated times, it is not an issue if they attend one of the other meetings," said Town Manager Chris LaMay.

The DCI staff will present their findings and recommendations at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 17 at Bayfield Town Hall.
