Seniors Outdoors will offer these programs:

A Monday bike ride for intermediate road cyclists will take place at 9:30 a.m. Monday. This is a no-drop, social ride of 16 miles from Home Depot to Bread. Participants will meet in the south parking lot at Home Depot. A hike of Blackhawk Ridge will take place at 8 a.m. Monday. The group will hike the section of the Colorado Trail that starts at Hotel Draw and ends at Blackhawk Ridge. The cost to carpool is $8. A hike to and climb of Half Peak will take place at 7 a.m. Tuesday. This hike is intended for people with stamina. Participants need to be in excellent condition. The group will climb Half Peak from Minnie Gulch. The cost to carpool is $8. Four-wheel-drive and high-clearance vehicles are needed. Dogs are not allowed. The Wednesday Wanderers will hike Elbert Creek Trail to Castle Rock at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. The hike will be taken at an easy pace. Participants should bring lunch, snack and water. Turn backs with a partner will be allowed. Dogs will be allowed. The carpool fee is $4. Poles are recommended. Nonmembers should RSVP to Mary Ray at (505) 793-2520 or email mary-ray@q.com.
A hike of Pass Creek to Cascade will take place at 7 a.m. Wednesday. This hike requires a car shuttle. The cost to carpool is $5. Dogs are allowed, but dog owners need to arrange shuttle. To RSVP, call Jeff Bailey 764-8120 or email jewlbailey@yahoo.com.
Utah Slickrock Wanderings: Capitol Reef, Calf Creek, and Death Hollow will take place from Wednesday to Sept. 27. Water shoes or sandals will be helpful for wading. A shuttle will be required. The hike will be at a moderate pace. Dogs are not advised. To RSVP, email Dan Honig at dhonig@animas.net.
