After a successful 2021-22 season with the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks, guard JacQuess Hobbs has signed a professional contract with Angra Basket in Portugal to continue his career.
Angra Basket is a member of the Portugal Division I professional league and a member of the International Basketball Federation.
“We absolutely loved having JacQuess in our program last year,” said Fort Lewis College head coach Bob Pietrack. “JacQuess was not only a first-class player, but a person as well. He left a lasting impression on our program, and nobody deserves an opportunity to play professional basketball more than him. I am very proud of him, and our program looks forward to watching his success in the coming future.”
While with the Skyhawks, Hobbs averaged 8.6 points, 3.3 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game. Starting in all 28 games and leading FLC with 93 assists, Hobbs was an instrumental piece on the floor in creating offensive success for those around him.
Before playing at Fort Lewis, Hobbs spent four seasons with NCAA Division I Eastern Kentucky University, where he made 35 starts across 90 career games for the Colonels.
