The inaugural Holy Grit gravel Grinder took place Saturday, beginning and ending at the Wines of San Juan in Turley, New Mexico. Bikers were challenged with 40 miles of dirt along the Old Spanish Trail.

Todd Wells and Cody Cupp battled for the King of the Spanish Trail title, but a late tire problem hurt Cupp and helped Wells win the race. Cupp finished second, and Troy Wells finished third.

Shea Anderson, meanwhile, won the women’s race to be named Queen of the Spanish Trail, finishing ahead of runner-up Cate Fenster and Amy Haggart in third.

Aztec Adventures hosted the race.
