According to the scanner, an injured person was located near Lemon Reservoir about 4:05 p.m. Friday.

The search began with a 911 call and a response by Upper Pine Fire Protection District. La Plata County Search & Rescue also helped, but it appeared the rescue helicopter actually found the person.

The GPS coordinates indicated that the person was near Sierra Verde Estates, a subdivision on the eastern side of Lemon off County Road 243.

The helicopter was seeking a landing site after the injured person was found.

As always, reports from the scanner have not been confirmed.
