Because of safety concerns along La Posta Road (County Road 213) during the cleanup of the Purple Cliffs area, road closed barricades will be placed for workers’ safety. The road will be closed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays until the cleanup is complete. There is currently no estimate as to when the work will be finished.
To those volunteers asking to assist in the cleanup effort: The contracted crew members are trained in hazardous material handling, involving waste such as used needles and other potentially harmful materials, and therefore work by nonprofessionals cannot be accepted.
On days when inclement weather or other situations prevent crews from working, the road will remain open to regular traffic.
