Highlight of the week

The 100th anniversary of the Rio Grande’s Narrow Gauge K-28 locomotives is being celebrated by the Animas Museum at 1 p.m. Saturday at the museum, 3065 West Second Ave.

Local author Jerry Day will talk about K-28 locomotives, the subject of his latest book, “Rio Grande’s Narrow Gauge K-28 Locomotives.” He will be signing copies during the event. The talk will be in person only, and there is no charge for admission.
