Animas Valley Action Coalition will meet from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave., to discuss the Village Camp Durango Proposal.
The proposal is for 277 total sites, 137 for luxury motor homes and 140 cabins. The development will be on over 34 acres on Trimble Lane near County Road 250 at the former gravel pit.
The coalition’s goal is to protect the Animas Valley’s rural lands, historic character, traffic, water, environment, fire response, cyclists, pedestrians, wildlife and more.
