Emergency personnel transfer woman to hospital
The Durango Fire Protection District responded to an overdose call Saturday afternoon above Buckley Park, a few feet from the 9-R School District Administration building.
A fire truck, two ambulances and several police officers rushed to Buckley Park on Saturday afternoon shortly before 1 p.m. after a woman overdosed on alcohol at the top of the hill, a few feet from the 9-R School District Administration building.
Durango Police Department Sgt. Robert Taylor said the woman was being taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center. He said a passer-by who noticed the woman became concerned and called for help.
