Reports of a gun in a car near Durango High School triggered a visit from the police about 12:25 p.m. Friday.

Durango police officers were called after a teenage boy inside a car pointed a BB gun at the head of another teenager, said Ray Shupe, spokesman for the Durango Police Department.

The police found four teenage boys between the ages of 15 and 17 in the car on the southwest corner of the parking lot near the high school, Shupe said.

He said they may have been DHS students, but he was not certain.

The BB gun was taken away. The teenage boy who had the gun pointed at him did not feel threatened and did not want to press charges, he said.
