This year’s self-guided driving tour, to be held Sept. 21, is put on by the La Plata County Historic Preservation Review Commission and will begin with presentations at the Florida Grange, 656 Highway 172, where attendees have the option of having breakfast (served from 8 to 10 a.m., donations suggested).
Presentations will begin at 10 a.m., then attendees are encouraged to head out for the tour, which follows a segment of the Tracks Across Borders Byway route of the old Denver & Rio Grande Railroad. Stops include Falfa, the Oxford Cemetery, the Southern Ute Cultural Center & Museum, Tiffany, Allison and Arboles.
