The Bowker Games, an annual track and field event for K-12 students with disabilities, took place Thursday at Escalante Middle School, attracting participants from Durango, Bayfield, Pagosa Springs, Ignacio, Cortez and Dolores. More than a dozen events were open for competition including relays, a softball throw, long jump and sprints. Bobby Farrow, a freshman at Bayfield High School, competes in the high jump. Bobby is the grandson of Kay Goetz.
