Iron Horse Bicycle Classic 2025 schedule of events

Friday, May 23

3-7 p.m. Local packet pickup, Buckley Park, 1250 Main Ave.

3-7 p.m. Kids race check-in, Buckley Park.

4:20 p.m. Faceplant Ale Kick Off Parade (costumes encouraged). Gather at Ska Brewing for a beer and parade. Parade leaves at 5 p.m. and stops at Steamworks, then finishes at Buckley Park.

Saturday, May 24

7:15 a.m. Road race wave start, 33rd Street and East Second Ave.

7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. U.S. Highway 550 will be closed between Purgatory Resort and Silverton, which includes Coal Bank and Molas Pass. Motorists are encouraged to travel through the closure points before 7:30 a.m. (Motorists should leave Durango no later than 6:45 a.m. in order to make it through the Purgatory closure point in time.)

8 a.m. McDonald's Citizen Tour Start, 33rd Street and East Second Ave.

12:30 p.m. ALL Podiums, Silverton finish line.

5-7 p.m. Bike pickup, Durango High School.

Sunday, May 25

8 a.m. LaStrada LaPlata Start, Buckley Park, 1250 Main Ave.

9-4 p.m. Cycling Festival, Buckley Park.

9 a.m. Kids race check in, Fort Lewis Clock Tower.

8:30 a.m. MTB Starts, Buckley Park.

10 a.m. Kids race start (2-5 year olds), Fort Lewis Clock Tower.

10:30 a.m. First Wave MTB & Omnium Podiums, Buckley Park.

11 a.m. Kids race start (6-12 year olds), Fort Lewis Clock Tower.

1 p.m. Second Wave MTB & Omnium Podiums, Buckley Park.

4 p.m. Final Wave MTB & Omnium Podiums, Buckley Park.
