The $400 million “gift-plane” to the Department of Defense from the Qatar (Hamas-supporting) government is either payment for something secretly done, or a bet on receiving a future benefit from Sultan Trump. What a sham to claim it is kosher because it is not going to Trump directly, but is only being transferred to his unbuilt library when he leaves office, if he ever does. (I foresee war declared with Greenland causing a suspension of all elections.)
Let’s first recognize the plane has to be totally retrofitted at an approximate cost to us of $1 billion because of security (Has Qatar placed listening devices in it?) and safety concerns. It is also apparent it will take many, many months to accomplish that, maybe even extending to the end of his term in office.
Normally, a library puts presidential items on display for the public but here it is obviously going to be flown on behalf of the then ex-president (sounds good doesn’t it?) in golden luxury, or maybe by the head librarian. Melania? Are the two 747s, already being built at a cost of $3 billion to be mothballed or become part of a five-plane presidential fleet?
Then there is the $25 million to $40 million expense for the Sultan’s birthday parade, allegedly the date of the birth of the Army. What of parades for the Navy, Air Force and Marines? Did the selected date just happen to be his birthday? Who pays for street damage caused by his “beautiful tanks?”
Where is “Chainsaw Musk” when we need him?
