Act now, Western public lands under attack

How many of you enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, horseback riding and pretty much any outdoor activity out in nature? Or maybe just driving through the mountains to see the fall leaves. Were you ever in Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts? If so, you probably camped out under the stars on public lands. How many of you love the West for its majestic public lands?

Much of our public land is set to be sold off in the One Big “Beautiful” Bill. For what? Affordable housing, they say, but much of this land is far away from any major towns or cities. It doesn’t make sense.

Selling it off to give huge tax breaks to billionaires seems more like their plan to me. Once our billionaires get ownership of our lands, there will be no regulations to stop them from taking all the natural resources for themselves.

See this map (wilderness.maps.arcgis.com) to show the land that will be up for sale. Zoom in. Check out your favorite forests and boondocking spots, hiking trails and canyons. Not only Colorado, but look at Idaho, Utah, Washington, Oregon, California, heck the entire West is under assault. It’s crazy.

This is urgent. We must act now to stop it from passing in the Senate. Please call your senators now to protect and hold onto our public lands before it’s too late. Once this land is sold, it will be gone forever.
