Speed management solution is simple

While it is somewhat amusing to watch all the fuss about controlling speeding traffic in town, it also absurd. This is not a difficult problem to understand or solve.

The problem with speeding primarily occurs on the main corridors of traffic in town: Florida Road, Goeglein Gulch, 32nd and 25th streets, North College Drive, 3rd Avenue, Riverview and College drives.

If you really want to solve the problem, it’s not that difficult and you could raise revenue for the city. Old school.

Yes, put police officers with radar periodically out on these corridors, write some tickets, voilà, traffic slows down. Problem solved.

Modern bureaucrats appear not to like obvious solutions and prefer high tech, expensive gimmicks or to focus on diagonal parking on 7th Street. Come on, people in charge, get it together.
