Herald should require real names on comments

I disagree with the letter writer’s suggestion that online comments be allowed on Letters to the Editor (Herald, July 30). Instead, there should be better accountability for the comments the Herald allows on its news articles today. Specifically, the Herald should enforce that people use their actual names when posting.

This would hopefully eliminate some of the more flippant comments we see if folks understood that some of the ugga-bugga-boo they toss out there would have real consequences if people they knew/did business with/worked for saw their mean streak or foolishness.
