The college football season is already a month old. It seems like yesterday the opening games were taking place in late August with temperatures in the 80s and the leaves unchanged.
After a month of college football, most Division I teams have a good idea of what kind of team they are and what they’re capable of achieving. All Division I Colorado football teams must realize it would be very unlikely for them to get into the College Football Playoff. However, there is still time for all of these teams to put together a good stretch of football to get a bowl game.
All four Division I Colorado college football teams are at home this weekend. Here’s a look at what matchups these schools have:
Where: Folsom Field, Boulder

Records: BYU is 3-0 overall after it won at Eastern Carolina University, 34-13 on Saturday. Colorado is 2-2 overall and 0-1 in the BIG 12 after its 37-20 win over Wyoming on Saturday.
Line: BYU is a 6.5 or seven-point favorite depending on the sportsbook.
Notes: Colorado’s 37 points against Wyoming was a season-high. Kaidon Salter retook the starting quarterback job for the Buffaloes and finished the game against Wyoming with his best game of the season, finishing 18/28 passing for 304 yards and three touchdowns. Salter also led the Buffaloes with 86 rushing yards and a rushing score.
BYU had a balanced offensive attack against East Carolina on Saturday. Quarterback Bear Bachmeier finished the game 18/25 passing for 246 yards and a touchdown. The Cougars also had 172 rushing yards and two rushing scores on the ground.
This game is a rematch of last season’s Valero Alamo Bowl on Dec. 28; BYU dominated Colorado 36-14 in Colorado stars Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter’s final college game before entering the NFL draft. Sanders finished with two touchdowns and two interceptions, while current BYU running back LJ Martin led the Cougars with 88 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Records: Hawaii is 3-2 overall and 0-1 in the Mountain West Conference after its 23-21 loss vs. Fresno State on Saturday. Air Force is 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the Mountain West Conference after its 49-37 vs. Boise State on Saturday
Line: Air Force is a 6.5 or seven-point favorite depending on the sportsbook
Notes: The Falcons have been outscored by an average of 15.5 points in their two losses this season and have given up 49 points in each of those losses.
Despite the loss against Boise State, Falcons quarterback Liam Szarka threw for 246 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Szarka also led the team with 110 rushing yards and a rushing score.
Hawaii led at halftime against Fresno State before losing its lead in the fourth quarter. Rainbow Warriors quarterback Micah Alejado finished the game 28/47 passing for 219 yards, one passing touchdown and three interceptions.

Records: Washington State is 2-2 overall after its 59-24 loss vs. Washington on Saturday. Colorado State is 1-2 overall after its 17-16 loss to UTSA.
Line: Colorado State is between a 4.5 and six-point favorite depending on the sportsbook
Notes: Colorado State nearly had another comeback win against UTSA as it was down 10-3 at halftime. The Rams scored a touchdown with 29 seconds left to make it 17-16, but went for the win with a two-point conversion instead of tying the game with a PAT. The two-point conversion failed and the Rams lost.
The Rams used two quarterbacks in the loss, with Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi finished 14/25 passing for 176 yards and Jackson Brousseau finishing 10/12 passing for 78 yards and a passing touchdown. Colorado State allowed UTSA running back Robert Henry Jr. to run for 144 yards and a score.
Washington State’s defense got crushed in the fourth quarter against Washington; the Cougars were outscored 28-0 in the final quarter. Huskies quarterback Demond Williams Jr. finished 16/19 passing for 298 yards and four touchdowns. Williams also led the team with 88 rushing yards and a rushing score.

Records: Idaho State is 1-3 overall after its 90-0 win over Lincoln (CA) on Saturday and Northern Colorado is 2-2 overall after its 26-23 overtime win at Houston Christian on Saturday.

Notes: Northern Colorado’s second win of the season on Saturday eclipsed its win total from the 2024 season.
The Bears had a well balanced offense on Saturday with 215 passing yards and 222 rushing yards. Northern Colorado only allowed Houston Christian to have 200 yards of offense.
