Fashion Do’s and Dont’s, one of Snowdown’s most popular events, will be holding auditions for the first time in the show’s history.
“The show just keeps becoming more popular, and we were inundated with models last year,” event organizer Anne Stokes said of the decision to require auditions.
About 75 models walked the runway at the fashion show earlier this year, Stokes said. Because of the higher-than-typical number of participants, fewer spectator tickets were sold due to the venue’s limited capacity.
This year, about 60 to 65 participants will be selected from the auditions.
The audition is a two-step process: A written application and an interview.
First, a one-page form must be completed and submitted to event coordinators by Oct. 31. The form can be found on the Fashion Do’s and Don’ts Facebook page, or by e-mailing Stokes at annejsd5949@gmail.com.
Interview appointments will be made for a group or a group leader during the second week of November.
The final line up for the show will be announced in early December.
“We would love new folks involved, and we are looking for fun, creative entertainment,” Stokes said.
Tickets to watch the show will go on sale at 6 a.m. Jan. 10. at El Rancho Tavern on Main Avenue.
