The people in charge of our electric co-op have shown their true colors. Why would La Plata Electric Association advertise on television several times a night at the membership’s expense? I have seen no fewer than eight ads in two days.
Are they trying to attract more customers? The people without electricity most likely can’t watch television to see those commercials. Maybe people without electricity will choose to join our co-op rather than one of the many other electric suppliers.
The people we elected to protect our interests have betrayed us to say the least. An investigation of their financial interests would be a logical next step.
