After a year winning World Cup races around the world, Durango’s best mountain biker is coming home to celebrate.
Durango Devo is hosting a community homecoming celebration for World Cup series winner and two-time Olympian Christopher Blevins at Ska Brewery on Sunday.
The event features a meet-and-greet including photos and autographs with Blevins himself, as well as an interview led by prominent Durango community leaders Gaige Sippy and Dave Hagen and a Q&A session with Team USA cyclists & fellow Devo Alumni, Riley Amos, Bailey Cioppa and Ivan Sippy.
Blevins is currently one of the top cyclists in the world. He is the first American male to secure the men’s mountain bike World Cup overall since 1991 and holds the 2025 UCI World Cup title for both cross-country short track (XCC) and cross-country Olympic (XCO) men’s elite divisions. Blevins is a two-time Olympian, competing in both the 2020 Tokyo and the 2024 Paris Olympics.
“Chris’ creativity, thoughtfulness, and poise make him an awesome spokesperson for USA cycling, and a great representative of everything Devo stands for and tries to instill in each rider we work with,” Devo Executive Director Nate Greason said. “We are stoked to have Chris back in town and to celebrate his amazing year, his World Cup titles, and everything that lies ahead for him and for Durango cycling.”
The event will be held at Ska Brewery on Sunday from 5:45 p.m to 7:30 pm. No advance tickets are required, and the event is free and open to the public. Autographs and photos will be held from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., Sippy and Hagen will conduct an interview with Blevins, followed by a Q&A hosted by Team USA cyclists & Devo alumni, Riley Amos, Bailey Cioppa, and Ivan Sippy.
“Devo is honored to host this free homecoming celebration for the Durango community,” said Devo Development Director Amy Haggart. “We are all so proud of his achievements this year and the hard work it took to get there. Just this year, Chris has accomplished feats no American cyclist has managed, ever.”
Food and drink will be available for purchase at Ska. Autograph cards will be available, but attendees may bring something of their own to be signed as well.
“Chris is an extraordinary role model for the next generation of Devo cyclists: humble, kind, and endlessly inspiring,” Haggart said. “I am one of Chris’ biggest fans, and I’m grateful for the chance to celebrate with him.”
