Some people won’t have a Merry Christmas …
They’ll be working extra shifts hoping to get ahead.
Not buying gifts but paying their bills instead.
Some people are kids wishing for a warm coat.
They don’t ask Santa for cool toys with a remote.
Some people don’t join a big table with friends and family.
They sit alone on their couch watching TV.
There’s some who are waiting in the cold for the food truck to show.
Then they’ll keep walking onward through the crunchy snow.
Many others will be mourning the loss of the ones they love.
Wanting December to be over and done.
Some people won’t have a red and green with glitter and sparkles kind of Christmas.
They may end up black and blue, or just, blue, blue, blue, blue.
