The street in the 600 block of Main Avenue will close during the daytime from Monday to Jan. 20 to install a new fire suppression and domestic waterline.
The block will remain open to vehicle traffic at night.
This is a private project to install a new fire suppression system and domestic waterline at 640 Main Ave. Work will begin with excavation Monday, followed by tapping into the city’s waterline and constructing a new waterline for the building.
Water services to adjacent buildings should not be affected during construction, and pedestrian access to businesses on the sidewalks will be maintained through a safe passageway around the project. Delivery trucks to local businesses will be accommodated during construction.
