Crash occurred northeast of ‘Malfunction Junction’ intersection

A blue Ford Ranger pickup truck flipped onto its side about 8:55 a.m. Thursday on Florida Road northeast of the 15th Street and East Third Avenue intersection.
Durango Police Department spokeswoman Amanda Garrison said in a text message that the truck lost control on an icy patch of road, then flipped onto its side.
The driver was unharmed and was not impaired, Garrison said. The truck has since been removed from the side of Florida Road.
