Paige Wagner of San Juan Basin Public Health and Della Turque of Celebrating Healthy Communities will speak to Rotary Club of Durango at 6 p.m. Tuesday via Zoom.
Wagner and Turque are community organizers who facilitate the countywide coalition Recognizing Opportunities Around Resilience, or “ROAR.” They will speak about substance abuse prevention.
ROAR is dedicated to reducing substance misuse among La Plata County youths by taking a coordinated strengths-based, proactive approach. Learn about prevention science, ROAR’s work over the past four years and ways to get involved.
