As a native of Durango and a longtime advocate for mission-driven organizations, I highly encourage you to elect Jenn Jenkins to represent District 3 on the La Plata Electric Association board of directors. I first met Jenn in 2016 when she came to adopt her pup from Parker’s Animal Rescue. I immediately recognized the huge heart that inspires her work in renewable energy, and she committed to our board soon after and has been an avid and active supporter ever since. You can’t find anyone more devoted to the causes close to her heart.
Jenn is driven and has an impressive background in renewable energy that she has used to support rural organizations like mine for years. She is a strong leader who prioritizes fiduciary responsibility and innovation, which she seems to do with ease. She cares deeply about our community and the unique values we hold as rural residents.
I understand this is a historic moment for the energy and economic future of our local community, and I know Jenn will keep me informed. She is passionate about energy and is a strategic businesswoman who leads with kindness first. She has a unique ability to see beyond political leanings and connects directly to the heart of the person she is engaging.
