The La Plata Quilters Guild will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the La Plata County Fairground Extension Building, 2500 Main Ave.
The business meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a program by Cyndi McChesney, a quilt artist, author, longarm quilter, teacher and lecturer who revels in finding simple solutions to complex questions about quilt making and quilt design. She is the author of “Fun with Panels” and “Playful Panel Quilts.”
She will also hold a one-day workshop at 9:30 a.m. May 16 at the First Presbyterian Church, 1159 East Third Ave. The fees for the workshop are $50 for Quilt Guild members and $65 for nonmembers.
