Regarding the property Head Start will vacate when it moves to its new building, the city should consider using the site for a park and playground. I understand the need for workforce housing, but adding multi-unit housing in the library neighborhood, which consists of single-family homes, does not reflect the character of the neighborhood. The neighborhood does not have any parks other than Viles Park, a small park across from St. Columba Catholic Church, several blocks away.
