As the Southern Colorado Regional Director of the Alzheimer’s Association, I want to express my sincere thanks to all of the community partners, caregivers and people living with dementia who attended our Community Forum Jan. 29.
The forum was the kickoff of the San Juan Basin Alzheimer’s and Dementia Initiative, led by Teresa Valko of Durango. This collaborative will work together to strengthen care and support for people with dementia and their care partners, while raising awareness and support for our vision of A World Without Alzheimer’s and All Dementia.
The Alzheimer’s Association 24/7 Helpline (800) 272-3900 is available around the clock, 365 days a year. Through this free service, specialists and master’s-level clinicians offer confidential support and information to people living with dementia, caregivers, families and the public. Virtual education is also available via webinars and on-demand at www.alz.org.
For more information, contact Teresa at tvalko2endalz@gmail.com or give me a call at (719) 372-5983.
Kind regards,
Debra Antista-Bianchi, MPH, MS
