Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency was awarded a $50,000 award to fund 4CORE’s “Roll to Restaurants” program that will provide free eBikes for lower income, essential workers at four Durango restaurants.
4CORE partners with Roll, a local eBike rental service, to oversee fleet procurement and training. Additional in-kind community support and collaboration comes from the city of Durango, La Plata Electric Association, Fort Lewis College Environmental Center, Compañeros and the site restaurants selected for the program.
As part of the Can Do Colorado Community Challenge, the Colorado Energy Office awarded four to six programs in the state. These programs develop and implement eBike deployment through unique project models to increase access to electric bikes for low-income essential workers while maximizing air quality and health benefits.
