Recent letter was full of blatant lies

Will you please stop printing letters that are full of lies (not opinions, demonstrably false statements)?

Eric Speck (Herald, Dec. 6) wants us to believe there is a new silent majority. Trump may have won, but getting nearly 3 million fewer votes does not put you in the majority.

Also, inflation is the lowest it’s been in decades, crime is down almost everywhere (except Chicago), and unemployment is down to 4.6 percent (not the 22 percent Mr. Speck cites). Can he honestly say with a straight face that almost one in four people are out of work?

Repeating lies over and over again doesn’t make them true, and printing them in your paper doesn’t add to the public discourse.
